Hello 2019!

Firstly I would like to say Happy New Year to all! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I can’t believe another year is over and a new one is just beginning.

Out and About Mummy is almost one year old! Can you believe it? What an amazing year it has been. 2018 seemed to start off badly when a previous company I wrote from decided to let go of so many hardworking bloggers. Little did I know then that thanks to them, it would in fact turn into one of the best years ever!

Busy December

How fast has December gone? Christmas is all over.  Such a wonderful time of the year, especially when you have young children. My three were so excited to open their advent calendar each morning. We had a very busy December, we were lucky to be invited to several Christmas events and press nights at the theatre.

Plenty of Outdoor Fun

My family and I love nothing more to be outdoors and this December we got out as much as we could. We’ve visited some of our old favourites including Daisy Nook and Uppermill as well as discovering new places such as Lymm Dam.

My three are most happy when in their wellies, running and jumping in puddles!

Elf Adventure Challenge

At the start of December, we took part in the Elf Adventure Challenge with Wonder Adventures. We were invited to come and we’re so excited, we’ve been to several of their events before. We had a very magical time, the kids loved it. Read my full review now.

Ice Cream Farm

In December we visited The Ice Cream Farm in Cheshire for the first time and we loved it! We went because that’s where the Elf Adventure Challenge was held. We bought a VIP pass which was half price when we went, we’ll definitely be back!

The kids absolutely loved the indoor sand and water area, kept my three happy for ages! We were all amazed with the amount of ice cream choices, took us ages to decide what to have!

Winter Wonderland Liverpool

We were also lucky enough to be invited to Winter Wonderland Liverpool. Me and my toddler twins headed to Liverpool for the event and had a magical time.

It was such a lovely event, our favourite was probably the silent disco and obviously seeing the big man himself. You can read my review now.

Cinderella at Manchester Opera House

Press Night at the Opera House for Cinderella was so much fun.  Me and Joshua love a panto and it was so nice that we could treat Grandma and Grandad as they came along too.

The Wizard of Oz in Blackpool

I had been so excited about seeing The Wizard of Oz in Blackpool for some time now. You may remember I was given the opportunity to interview some of the starring cast, you can read the interview here. The musical was fantastic and we had a great evening.

Cockfields Christmas Experience

We love a trip to Cockfields Farm but there’s nothing like going at Christmas. We’ve been two years now running and have thought it was fantastic both times. The thought that goes into their events is great and this event in particular was pretty spectacular!

The 5 of us had such a magical experience, memories that will last a lifetime.

There’s chance to read all about my trips to Cockfields Farm , and events they hold at Halloween and Christmas.

Best Bits of 2018

We have always been a family on the go, lovers of the outdoors and pretty much busy all the time. That’s one of the reasons to why I created Out and About Mummy. To share ideas with other parents, of where to go, share tips and just general day to day life.

Over the last year I have been extremely lucky to visit places and events that I may not have visited otherwise and I am so grateful for this opportunity.  Over the last 12 months, I have made ‘blogger’ friends, worked with different companies and lots of individuals which has all been amazing! This year has changed my life.

I feel more confident as a person and as a mum due to everything I have achieved in the last year. I am still in shock that I was added to the Manchester Palace and Opera House Press List! Me!

I want to thank everyone who I have ever worked with, who has ever helped me, liked or shared my page, commented on social media. If it wasn’t for you all, Out and About Mummy would be nothing.

2018 has been amazing and I can’t wait to see what lives ahead for Out and About Mummy, for Rachel and my family!

There is too many best bits of 2018 to mention, but here’s a top few-
