Last night saw the offical opening of the brand new VR pod in the UK’s largest family entertainment arena, Manchester’s very own Play Factore.
My family and I were luckily enough to be invited to their event and we knew it was going to be good after our previous visits.
My twins (who turned three years-old yesterday) headed straight to the toddler area.
TODDLER AREA
The toddler area is fab, it’s a large space with 3 slides, tunnels, soft play and tricycles.
There’s also an interactive toddler area with an iClick interactive floor, where they can play games and even do some learning- making learning fun! My kids love this section.
PLAY FRAME
My eldest, Joshua went off with Daddy to the main play frame. Play Factore Manchester has the largest indoor play frame in the UK and it’s filled with tunnels, slides (including the largest indoor slide in Europe!) and fun filled obstacles from giant bubble balls to spider nets and rollers! There’s also an inbuilt football pitch and basketball court, and much more to discover!
Seeing as this special event was to celebrate the launch of the brand new VR pod, we all next headed over to check it out.
VIRTUAL REALITY
With the WePlayVR pod, families have the opportunity to experience out-of-this world games that take them on adventures like no other! There is a height restriction of 1.25m for this activity and unfortunately my children were all under this. Also parents can only play when accompanied by a child so unfortunately on this occasion we were unable to try out the new attraction.
The VR pod seemed like a big hit with the older children and my son can’t wait to come back soon and try it out.
There are additional costs for the VR pod.
GO KARTS
The 5 of us next headed to the Go Karts. Joshua could ride alone and me an dmy husband each held one of our twins.
This is lots of fun, the Go Karts even have enough seating so an adult and child can comfortably sit together (1-4 year old must be accompanied by an adult).
The three kids absolutely loved racing round the track and I lost count at home many times we went round!
Daddy and the twins headed to order for food whilst me and Joshua checked out the Laser Tag arena.
LASER TAG ARENA
This was our first time in the Laser Tag arena and it was so much fun. There’s state of the art kit and a fab arena to run around trying to escape from getting hit and stooting your opponents!
Included in your admission price and open during peak times, and laser tag arena was a big hit with my family.
ZIP WIRE
Whilst we waited for our food, Joshua decided to have a go on the zip wire. As it was a special press event, he was given the opportunity to gone on the zip wire as many times as he wanted!
When we first got there I didn’t think we’d get him on it, but once he went on it there was no getting him off!
Running from one end of the building to the other, this activity allows you to soar over the heads of everyone else! It’s a great addition to a fab day out and my boy loved it!
Additonal charges do apply.
RESTAURANT
There’s a large restaurant at Play Factore Manchester and I’ve heard how good the pizzas are so we decided to all share a couple of pizzas.
The pizzas are made to order in a stone baked pizza oven. The kids shared a pepperoni one whilst me and my husband had a pizza filled with black olives and mushrooms.
There’s a great selection of other hot and cold food at fantastic prices. There’s also a fantastic range of cakes and ice-creams too!
Our whole evening and the food was absolutely amazing and I’d like to thank Play Factore for the invite and their amazing hospitality.
For more information about the Play Factore, their facilities including the new VR pod and any other details, see their website here.
Although we weren’t asked to write this review, all words and pictures are our own. We were invited to this event as a guest and were kindly given free entry and refreshments.
Wow that play frame looks amazing! My daughter would absolutely love that, as well as the go karts
