FREE and Cheap Easter Half Term Activities In Oldham and Tameside

I’ve been on the hunt (not yet for eggs) and found loads going on to keep the kids entertained over the Easter Holidays! You’ll be Egg-static and the kids will be egg-cited! Sorry.

Best of all, these activities below are either FREE or of low cost which is always a bonus during the half term!

Monday 8th April

Holiday fun at Gallery Oldham
Free family activities take place during all school holidays. Activities run from 1 – 4pm each day. Face painting and craft activities at each session.
Most suitable for ages 4–10 years.
Children must be accompanied by an adult for all family activities.
All holiday activities are free with face painting for just £2.

Join us for an Easter Story Walk down Moston Brook!
This event will include a story, a treasure trail, an Easter hunt and crafts.

Free children’s creative workshop, designed to create and enhance children’s learning in a fun and interactive session.

Boxing Taster Sessions at Fitton Hill Library
Thursday 11th April 5.45pm
Oldham libraries are getting active with 0161 community. 0161 community are hosting free boxing taster sessions, to help improve the overall wellbeing of the community. Sessions are free, no need to book. All ages are welcome to these fun and friendly sessions.

Board Games at Failsworth Library

Come and play a board game at Failsworth Library. Fun, free and open to all Come along, play and enjoy!

Board games have had something of a cool makeover, and Oldham Libraries have an extensive collection of new board games which you can play here in the library.

Bunny Trail 
13 April – 27 April at all libraries
Hop on down to the library to take part in our Easter Bunny Trail! All completed trails will be entered into a prize draw for live@thelibrary theatre tickets.

An interactive storytelling show designed to unleash the imagination of children. A trunk is a box for belongings, belongings that have travelled far and wide. Join in and hear the tales of the magical trunk from boastful toads, magical fish and fearsome beasts of the wildest
woods. Ages 4+ Book now.

Fun day includes Easter Egg Hunt, Face Painting, Balloon Modelling, Raffle, Disco, Name the Bunny, Food available – Bar Open.

Easter Egg Hunt at Dogford Park
Sunday 21st April 1-4pm.
£1 per child, each child will receive a chocolate Easter egg and entry into a draw to win a toy bunny. There will also be a raffle costing £1 per strip of five tickets and a Lucky Dip costing £1 per go (prize guaranteed).

Jack and the Beanstalk Storytelling and Puppet Making
Oldham Library Friday 26th April 1-2.30pm
Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum! Check out the classic tale of Jack and his magical beanstalk brought to life using puppetry and your imagination. You’ll even be able to make your very own characters and beanstalks so that you can recreate the story and have fun at home too.
