We were recently sent the Beaker Creatures Whirling Wave Reactor from Learning Resources to review. A few months ago, he tested out the Beaker Creatures Liquid Reactor Super Lab which was fantastic so Joshua was very excited about trying out this new one!

Just like the liquid reactor super lab, the Beaker Creatures Whirling Wave Reactor is suitable for ages 5 plus. Joshua unpacked the box and started to read the instructions, all whilst eagerly being watched by his younger brother and sister.
This 12-piece set includes:

- 2 Classification cards
- 2 Mini-posters with amazing science facts

The instructions are easy to follow and the set it pretty simple to put together.
Once we had it all set up we were ready to extract our creature! To find out what creature is inside the colourful reactor pods, we needed to follow the instructions to create a chemical reaction.
Joshua explained that we needed to unwrap the mysterious pod and place it into the reactor chamber.
He poured water into the chamber and started turning the crank with trigger a whirling, bubbling reaction! He used some of the equipment he had from the previous Beaker Creatures set including the beakers and the set of tongs.
All three of them were excited about extracting the creature and finding out which one they have!
