Beautiful, The Carole King Musical

It was wonderful to be back at the Palace Theatre last night. I was extremely lucky to be invited to the opening night of Beautiful ad I invited my sister to come along with me. Beautiful is live at the Palace Theatre Manchester now until Saturday 15th October 2022.

Beautiful follows the inspirational and true story of Carole King and her dream to write songs and be number one! Beautiful isn’t a musical I was familiar with before last night, but my sister and I LOVE musicals so I was really excited to see something new.

I couldn’t believe how many songs that me and my sister knew including The Locomotion, Up On The Roof, A Natural Woman and so many more!

The most impressive thing about this musical was the talent of each and every member of the cast. Not only could they sing (and wow could they sing), but they all played musical instruments live on stage whilst acting. The instruments were on stage throughout the whole show and it was magical the way they naturally played them. The stage looked really simple but was so effective with super slick changes between scenes.

Molly-Grace Culter played Carole King and her voice was phenomenal! I found myself throughout the whole show looking forward to hearing her sing again, her voice was so powerful and I was hooked.
