Are your kids crazy about Dinosaurs? I’ve sourced the best Dinosaur themed places in the North West to take the kids from free museums to big days out there’s something for everyone and every budget!

TOTALLY ROARSOME
Totally Roarsome is a socially-distanced wild adventure for all the family with 6-themed zones including dinosaurs, jungle animals, pirates, superhero’s and much more!
This woodland family trail takes about an hour, see here for more information and to book.

DINOSAUR FOOTPRINT
For another free day out, head into the village of Lymm to see the ‘Dinosaur Footprint’ on display. Ok so it’s not a full day out but my kids thought it was exciting! We incorporated the visit to see the footprint with a walk along the canal and Lymm Dam. The wooden area was a great walk with the kids, they were certain we were hunting dinosaurs!

MANCHESTER MUSEUM
Manchester Museum is great for any dinosaur fan! There’s plenty of dinosaurs to see including the star of the show Stan the T-Rex. The Fossils, Minerals and Meteorites galleries span across three rooms. As well as the dinosaurs, my children enjoy the Vivarium, notable for its large collection of frogs!
There’s 4 floors of galleries and exhibitions so loads to see and do to keep the whole family happy. Its free to visit the museum and is really family friendly with baby change facilities, picnic areas and autism friendly early opening times. See here for more details.

WORLD MUSEUM LIVERPOOL
Take a trip to the World Museum in Liverpool to see plenty of dinosaurs. Once again it’s free to enter the museum. There’s plenty to see including life-size casts of the skeletons of ferocious dinosaurs, an Oviraptor egg, fossilised reptile footprint and Ice Age mammal bones!
There are loads to see and do so you could make a full day of it, there’s picnic areas, World Culture trails and even a Dinosaur Trail! We love a trail! More information about this and the museum, see here.
COCKFIELDS FARM
For a family fun day out (a favourite of ours) head to Cockfields Farm on the border of Oldham and Ashton Under Lyne. From small animals handling, feeding, bugs, snakes, playgrounds and much more there’s plenty of fun for all down on the farm.
For the dinosaur mad amongst us, keep a look out for their Jurassic themed events usually held in the school holidays or at weekends. Take a look at what we got up to when we went. Trixy the T-Rex visits the farm, plus enjoy other dino activities. Keep up to date via their Facebook page.

DINO DISCO ADVENTURE CHALLENGE
Last year we took part in the ‘Dino Disco Adventure Challenge’ with Wonder Adventures. The event is aimed at families with children aged 2-8 and we had so much fun, perfect for any dino crazed kids! We were greeted by rangers who were to teach our children how to be rangers too! The session was full of dancing and plenty of games and of course dinosaurs You can read my review now, plus keep up to date with up coming events here.
JURASSIC COVE ADVENTURE GOLF
Does your dino crazed kid also love golf? Then head to Jurassic Cove Adventure Golf at Bents Garden Centre, Warrington. Perfect for all ages, play the 18 hole course whilst surrounded by their resident dinosaurs!

DINO FALLS ADVENTURE GOLF
Dino Falls Adventure Golf close to the Trafford Centre is suitable for any age. It offers 36 holes of Dinosaur-themed adventure golf and even a surprise stunt at hole 16! With fun selfie points to pose and even an erupting volano, your dino mad lot will love this! See their website for more details.
DINOSAUR SAFARI
Dinosaur Safari at Blackpool Zoo has more than 30 stunning prehistoric creatures! Your safari will take you through 4 ages, over running streams and even behind a living curtain of water. There’s plenty of sound effects and authentic living plants to impress the biggest dino fan!
A few years back we took a trip to Blackpool Zoo and I remember the Dinosaur Safari being my sons favourite part! Full details about Blackpool Zoo and the Dinosaur Safari can be found here.
