Lets liven up those lockdown walks with a free interactive audio storytelling adventure, Hidden Winter. This story-walk is an audio adventure designed to be experienced by audiences on mobile devices, that starts at home and continues on your local walks.
Hidden Winter is made and supported by Stand and Be Counted (SBS) Theatre in association with Oldham Coliseum Theatre, Theatre in the Mill, Cast and Hull Truck Theatre, funded by Bradford Producing Hub and Arts Council England. This is an exciting way to present theatre during these National lockdown restrictions. Like lots of people, we miss the thrill of the theatre, there’s nothing quite like a live show.
It’s an interactive adventure that follows 8 year-old Hiba, a mischievous cat and a trail of winter clothes in a story celebrating the joys and difficulties of making friends in new places.
What a perfect reason to get the family out and about in your local area. As a family, we have always spent our weekends walking and most families more than ever are walking now as there’s little else we can do. I love finding alternative and unique ways to keep the kids happy on our lockdown walks and this sounds right up our street! We’ll certainly be giving this a go.
This story-walk is suitable for ages 5+. Each person taking part will need a device with data (phone or tablet), headphones, a local park/walk and 1 hour. For more information and to start your story-walk see here.
