Jurassic Kingdom Sheffield

My kids love dinosaurs so when I heard about Jurassic Kingdom, I knew they would love to go!

Jurassic Kingdom, is a spectacular outdoor dinosaur experience aimed at family audiences. They have over 30 very impressive installations of animated dinosaurs with electronic moving parts. Animatronics include arms moving up and down, tails swaying side-to-side, heads moving up and down, eyes blinking and jaws opening wide with roaring sound effects. It was pretty noisy! The boys loved it straight away, it took Isla a little to relax but was soon loving the experience too.

We travelled to Norfolk Park in Sheffield. We knew that the park had no car park as stated on the website so we were expecting to struggle. To our surprise, there was plenty of parking outside the entrance to the park, it was nice and easy. We entered the park and pretty much followed the noise of the dinosaurs! Our tickets said from 11am, then once your in your able to stay for as long as you like.

We had our tickets scanned which was very quick and efficient and was soon in the park. My eldest ran straight for a dinosaur egg, excited for a photo!

As we had a look around, we realised just how large the Jurassic Kingdom site was, it was huge! The kids were so excited and we decided to head round the site in a circle not to miss any dinosaurs out.

The kids were fascinated with the size of the dinosaurs, some of them absolutely massive, as you can see in this photo-

Beside each dinosaur display was information and facts which my son loved to read. Lots of other children were excited about reading about each dinosaur, Joshua even remembered some facts he had learnt from school.

There was plenty of fab photo opportunities with lots of things to climb on or peep out of! We also took some funny photos too. Check some of them out.

Peep Oscar!

Don’t get eaten mummy!

Be careful on that dinosaur Joshua!

We brought a picnic as we knew it was going to be a lovely sunny day plus we three young children that don’t stop eating, we try to save money when we can! There was plenty of food stalls too if you fancied a treat or something hot. We did treat ourselves to some slushes and was very tempted with some amazing looking waffles!

Cool dude!

Time for a slush in the sun!

Jurassic Kingdom is running throughout the rest of the year in lots of places up and down the country. See here for dates, venues and prices.

We had a fantastic day out and eldest has already asked if we can go again next year!
