I recently asked on my Facebook page for some suggestions to where is the best place to take little ones on their bikes. My two have just learnt to pedal and are desperate to get out on their bikes. Although, they don’t like bumpy paths…. or hills!
Well my wonderful Out and About Mummy community came to the rescue and suggested some fantastic places, including a couples of places in the North West with toddler cycle paths, perfect!
I’ve also listed the other parks that were suggested. Please remember these are places that other mums have suggested which their family love, I haven’t checked them out yet, but I certainly will be doing soon!
CENTRE VALE PARK, Todmorden
Centre Vale Park has an under 12’s roadway, perfect for little ones learning to ride their bikes. The park is located less than half a mile from Todmorden town centre. There’s also a play area, skate park, outdoor gym, football pitches and toilets. The car park is situated off Elwood Lane, west-side of the park.

MILNROW PARK, Milnrow
Milnrow park offers a mini cycle track for toddlers which sounds great. There’s also a skateboard park, play areas, mini assault course, woodland walks and a car park. I couldn’t find any information about toilets but will update once I have the answer.

QUEENS PARK, Heywood
Queen’s Park have plenty of smooth paths perfect for children to gain confidence on their bikes. There is also a BMX track for older children once they can ride. Other facilities include play areas, wildlife walks, cafe, toilets and a free car park.
