Brand New Lakeside Adventure Playground at Heaton Park

We visited the brand new ‘Lakeside Adventure’ playground in Heaton Park today, it’s only been opened a few days!

It’s situated near the boating lake and the cafe in the south of the park. It’s a large wooden play-area that looks pretty fantastic. We thought it was great!

There’s different styles of swings, several slides (some big, some small) in-ground trampolines, extremely cute trees houses, a wobbly bridge and even an area designed for den building!

There was an area that looks like it’s designed for water but it didn’t have any water in during our visit.

I’m sure this new play-area will be popular during the summer holidays, we’ll definitely be heading back with my eldest so he can check out the massive slides and see what the water play will be like.

There’s plenty to do at Heaton Park including another play-area with its iconic tower slide, a small animal centre that’s free to enter and even a land train. There’s plenty of space to play games and go for walks.

More information on Heaton Park, including a map of the park and opening times, see here. I parked in the golf entrance car park, parking was £2 for up to 3 hours.
