Hip, hip, hooray for SUPERWORM!
This year you and your family can join Superworm and friends on their brand-new forest adventure with Forestry England! Follow the new Superworm trail and see what amazing facts you can discover about the small but mighty creatures in the much-loved Superworm story. Over the years my family and I have taken part in lots of these Forestry trails, well, I do love a trail! There always lots of fun.
So what you waiting for! Get a wriggle on, grab your trail pack, and enjoy the perfect family day out near you! I have been having a look for the ones closest to us (Oldham area). There is a map on the website but here’s a few that wold be perfect for those close to Greater Manchester-
Delamere Forest, Linmere, Delamere, Northwich, CW8 2HZ
Trail Length-1 mile / 1.6km
Accessibility-The trail is surfaced with some undulation and two railway bridges.

Sherwood Pines, Kings Clipstone, Nottingham, NG21 9JL
Accessibility-Suitable for pushchairs, on level or gently sloping natural forest paths.
Grizedale, Forestry Commission Visitor Centre, Grizedale Forest, Hawkshead, LA22 0QJ
Trail Length-1.5km / 1 mile
Accessibility-Surfaced paths. Suitable for pushchairs but be aware there are some hilly sections on the route.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Featuring brightly illustrated panels and a trail pack full of fun activities, you’ll get to meet some of your favourite characters from the story. Showcasing the unsung heroes of the forest, the trail will inspire your own little superheroes to think about the everyday heroic feats of the minibeasts in the woods and forests around us.
