To kick start our summer holidays, we took a trip to Cockfield Farm Park in Greater Manchester. Cockfields Farm is on the border between Ashton and Oldham and recently have made some improvements just in time for summer!

I’ve plenty of reviews in the Review section of my blog including Cockfields fantastic Christmas experience and their pumpkin picking, go check them out!
BRAND NEW THIS SUMMER
There’s a brand new tractor trailer ride which is included in your admission price. Also you aren’t limited to how many times during the day you ride it (we went on three times throughout the day). The bumpy trailer ride is pulled by a big tractor around the farm. My three loved it! My three loved spotting the sheep in the fields, plus the scenery as we rode- you can see Hartshead Pike plus the Manchester City Centre skyline.

There’s a fab new path around the duck pond so you can walk around it rather than in the past just look at the ducks. One way round the path you can follow a song about ducks and the other there’s facts about ducks to read- mine loved this! I loved the wild flowers that were growing at the side, it was lovely, great for a little stroll round.

There’s a new outdoor animal barn. As you walk to the new duck pond and tractor trailer ride, you now walk past the new outdoor animal barn where you can feed the sheep, cows and very adorable Pygmy goats! There’s still animals in the indoor barn, so plenty of animals to feed on rainy days but I love how you have the outdoor option.

There’s the new and improved Cuddle Corner. This space looks great, all the animals that you can handle throughout the day are now in this room, with tables spaced out for each family group. Throughout the day, you get the chance to cuddle a bunny or guinea pig or touch a snake a bearded dragon! This area is managed really well with limited numbers taking turns.

There’s also a giant sand pit indoors as well as the outdoor beach! Both perfect for whatever the weather is when you visit. My three played in the indoor one for ages, it gave us a break from the sun.

There’s also all the other fun things to do on the farm including the jumping pillow (a favourite in our house), the free carousel (lost count how many times my three went on), the playground, tunnels and of course all the animals!
