The Royal Northern College of Music is not only a place of study, the RNCM is also a vibrant live music venue! There’s lots going on this Spring, including concerts and events for families.

Alexandra Dariescu: The Nutcracker and I
Thursday 24th January – 6pm and 8pm
A pianist, a ballerina, state-of-the-art animation and digital effects.
This is The Nutcracker for the 21st century! In this innovative 50-minute performance based on the magical story, RNCM alumna Alexandra Dariescu inspires the audience by telling her own story as Clara: from little girl to concert pianist and invites us to tap into our own imaginations.
Tchaikovsky’s enchanting ballet music features throughout, including such favourites as Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Arabian Dance and Pas de Deaux in 15 arrangements by composers such as Mikhail Pletnev, Stepan Esipoff, Percy Grainger and Gavin Sutherland

RNCM Young Explorers Concert Mother Goose
Sunday 10th February – 2pm
In the latest RNCM Young Explorers Series, we journey into a magical land of fairy tales, meeting Mother Goose along the way… Our Young Explorers concerts are a brilliant way to introduce children to live classical music. These events are family-friendly, ‘relaxed’ performances, specially designed to keep little ones engaged and amused.
