We’re really lucky to live pretty close to Cockfields farm and over the years have visited many times. The best visits are their special events such as the Christmas experience and pumpkin picking. (Apart from their Christmas experience as that is one of a kind), the new Farmlife Festival has been my favourite!

Cockfields farm has everything you’d expect from a fun day out at the farm, plus so much more. Our visit usually starts with feeding the animals. In the animal barn, feeding the baby goats is always lots of fun. There’s also plenty of sheep, pigs, cows and reindeer.

We always check the Whats On board and decide what we don’t want to miss from Bathing a Tortoise, Cuddling a Guinea Pig and Grooming a Rabbit. We’ve washed the pigs before and this time stroked some baby hedgehogs! My eldest son loves the reptile room and again on this visit was able to get close up to the snakes which is his favourite.

There’s a giant sandpit filled with buckets and spades, ride-on tractors perfect for the grassy hills, slides and swings and the best of all… the giant jumping pillow! Definitely a favourite of my children, they usually go back to this several times during our visit.

There’s even more activities that are included in the price of your ticket, including the carousel and the tractor rides. Both run throughout the day and there’s no limit to how many goes you have!

We loved the Farmlife Festival activities. Our visit was started with Crowd Karaoke which was lots of fun. Most of the festival activities were held on a large field but there were decorated barns on hand due to the great British summer! Throughout the day we took part in Circus Skills and had a great time in the Dance Tent. I was worried my eldest (he’s 10 now) would be too old for certain parts but we all loved doing the Hokey Cokey- possibly my favourite part of the day, we just couldn’t stop laughing.

Included in the ticket price is loom band craft activities and now we are hooked! All four of us absolutely loved making the bracelets, it was completely new to us. We had a lovely chilled out hour just making together, I’ve even bought some for at home!

At lunch time we headed to the cafe- a massive bonus about the Farmlife Festival- kids eat free! How amazing is that? Perfect for the summer holidays. Look at the size of Oscar’s pizza? I was so impressed with the kids meals, fantastic that they’re included in the ticket price.

There’s also a foam party at the end of every Farmlife Festival! Included in the ticket price! How amazing is that?
There’s so much to do and so much fun to be had at Cockfields farm. Their Farmlife Festival is running 23rd August until September 4th- what a perfect way to end the summer holidays. For more information and booking see here.
