Mess Around Central and East Manchester

Over the weekend I took the whole family to the Mess Around Central and East Manchester launch party in Stalybridge. Ally the new franchise owner invited us along and we were so excited.

Mess Around UK run parties and events all over the country providing families with the exciting opportunity to get messy and explore new sensory activities (all without us parents having to clean anything up!)

The Mess Around events are for children from 6 months old up until 5 years. Siblings up to the age of 10 are welcome too. These events promote family fun, exploring creativity, memory making, bonding time, sparking imaginations and sensory experiences.

Ally invited the whole family along to her launch party and we headed to Westhill High School for the event. Everything was set up when we arrived, there was plenty of space, it was a large room and the kids couldn’t wait to get started!

We received a warm welcome from Ally and the other staff hosting the party. One lady showed Joshua the crafts table for the older children. He got stuck in straight away and started painting and making.

My and my three year old twins went for a nosy around the room. The music was playing (Vengaboys if I remembered correctly) and everyone seemed to be having lots of fun!

At the back of the room we found a large painting wall which was great, my two decided to start here. There was different coloured paints and rollers, a fab start to our messy experience!

The room was filled with different stations, all with a different messy play activity. The launch party was a beach party theme so the activities all related to the theme. There was all the fun you could have at the day at the seaside, from ice cream to the fun fair to sand and water play!

Everything was safe and non-toxic so there was no worrying if your child put anything in their mouth, including homemade play-dough and cloud dough. The events are all about getting messy and having fun and we certainly did. Oscar loved pouring the slime down the water channels and Isla loved dancing at the big finale!

We moved around the stations where we washed a whale, had a teddies bear picnic, played cars in the cornflakes, squished the jelly before ending with a foam party!

The music was cranked up and the foam started to the kids delight.

These events are fantastic for little ones and their families, especially those who love to get messy (without the mess at home!) Keep up to date via their Facebook page for up coming events and check out their website for more information.
