I have three young children so we obviously love children’s books! Children’s illustrator Katie Green asked would we like to check out a digital copy of her latest Christmas book, The Adventures of Frank and Diesel: Frank’s First Christmas, written by Melanie Slack. My three children love a range of books but especially books with animals in them!
The books are inspired by their own family pets, following the adventures of the wise Old Saint Bernard, Diesel, and the young cheeky Pug puppy, Frank.
This is a lovely Christmas story that all children will enjoy. It’s full of Christmas spirit and great for Christmas Eve. The story follows Diesel and Frank getting ready for the big day, from decorating the Christmas Tree, to hanging up their stockings.
It’s full of lovely illustrations and bright colourful pages that my youngest enjoyed. It’s easy to read and we liked how it rhymed, it’s great for my 6-year-old to read to himself or to his brother and sister.
It’s definitely a book we will read again and again each Christmas! It would be perfect as a stocking filler or for a Christmas Eve box. A must have for any dog lovers!
