Theatre is back! If you are like me, then you love a trip to the theatre! There’s absolutely loads coming up at the Palace and Opera House Manchester over the next few months, perfect for the whole family. Here’ just a few that I think you will love! Perfect for a Christmas present or special treat.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks

The magical musical is in Manchester this October. Featuring the original songs, this Disney’s classic promises plenty of magic and fantasy! More information can be found here. You can read my review from press night now!

Hairspray

Take a step back in time to the swinging 1960’s and meet Tracy Turnbald- a big girl, with big hair and an even bigger heart! This fabulous musical is showing this October at the Palace. I was lucky enough to see this show a few years back, check out my review.

Aladdin

Everyone loves a panto…. Oh yes they do! This year Panto is back and Aladdin is flying into Manchester. Starring Alexandra Burke, this years panto is going to be bigger than ever.

White Christmas the Musical

This year enjoy the timeless romantic comedy to warm the hearts of all ages. White Christmas features the classic songs ‘Blue Skies’, I Love A Piano’ and of course the most famous festive song of all…. ‘White Christmas’.

The Addams Family

This musical comedy is coming to the Opera House next April staring Strictly’s fabulous Joanne Clifton as Mortica Addams. Wednesday Addams has all grown up and has a shocking secret she’s fallen in love with a sweet man from a respectable family!

Billionaire Boy

From the award-winning West End producers of Gangsta Granny and Horrible Histories comes this amazing new production of David Walliams’ best-selling story. My 9 year old son loves the David Walliams books, he’s read them all- I think Billionaire Boy is one of his favourite. The story follows Joe Spud, the richest boy is the country, but what he doesn’t have is any friends and that’s what he wants most in the world.

Beauty and the Beast

The most enchanted musical of all time is coming to Manchester from March 2022. Spectacular new designs and start of the art technology fuse the classical story, as the timeless romantic tale is brought to life on a stage like never before. You can expect to hear your favourite songs from the iconic Disney film including ‘Belle’ and ‘Be Our Guest’.

The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time

Back by popular demand, the Olivier and Tony award-winning production of the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is touring the UK. Based on the 2003 novel, the Curious Incident of the Dog In The Night-Time will be in Manchester next March.

Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat is coming to Manchester next March starring Alexandra Burke and Jason Donovan! I love Joseph, this is very exciting! Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat has become one of the world’s most beloved family musicals, following the story of Jacob’s favourite son Joseph and his eleven brothers.
