What’s On for Children and Families at Oldham Library

There’s always something on for children and families with Oldham Library. I’ve put together a round up of what’s coming up next month.

Each month there is the Toddler Time and Bumps and Babies sessions. You can find out when and where here.

There’s also monthly Baby Day’s events which are always lots of fun. In July, Oldham Library are hosting their Fun at The Seaside events with buckets and spades, sand play and lots of themed stories and rhymes.

Chadderton Library– Thursday 18th July 1-2.30pm

The Summer Reading Challenge is back this month, which Sign-Up Saturday the 20th July at all Oldham libraries. The summer challenge is free to join, this years challenge is called Space Chase. Watch this space for updates……

In association with the Space Chase Summer Reading Challenge, why not join Susanna Oldfield for Space Chase Bedtime Stories at Oldham Library on Monday 22nd July 6-7pm. Rocket into space as she takes you on an astronomical journey that only the bravest astronauts can embark on! You and your little one can discover together the excitement that lies just beyond the clouds! Interactive storytelling suitable for all the family. 

Oldham Libraries also host monthly Young Readers Book Clubs aimed at children aged 7-11. If your child loves reading, come along to talk about books and take part in lots of crafts and activities. Younger siblings available.

Crompton Library – 3rd Monday of each month 5-6pm

Royton Library2nd Wednesday of each month 5-6pm

Failsworth Library– 1st Thursday of each month 5-6pm (starting 1st July)

There’s always plenty to keep the kids entertained, one of the best bits also is that all of the above is completely FREE!
