Dippy The Dino Comes Back to the North West 2020

This year, Dippy the Diplodocus, the most famous dinosaur cast will be visiting the North West during it’s UK tour. Dippy left the Natural History Museum back in 2018 and headed to venues across the UK. This September Dippy is making a comeback in Rochdale.

Dippy has been wowing visitors in London at the Natural History Museum since 1905!

From 7th February until 12th December 2020, Dippy fans will be able to meet the dino right here in Greater Manchester, at the Number One Riverside building in Rochdale. (Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU)

Extra social distancing measures will be in place to keep visitors safe. They are asking for people to attend with their own household only.

It will be FREE entry to visit Dippy and no booking will be required. During the visit, a range of activities and events for young and old to enjoy will be organised to coincide with his only stop in the North West.

There will also be a dino-tastic family friendly exhibition at Touchstones Rochdale where you will be able to delve deeper into the natural world. (Touchstones Rochdale, The Esplanade, Rochdale, OL16 1AQ)

I aim to keep you up to date as much as possible about Dippy’s visit and any surrounding events, so keep checking back. You can also find out more information about the iconic visit here.
