Pick Your Own Fruit In The North West.

We love to pick our own fruit in the summer. The kids love to get involved, it’s so much fun!

Last year my eldest was so excited, he couldn’t wait to wash and eat his fruit once we had finished!

Please note, some of the places listed below may not currently be open so always check before you travel.

I have put together a list of places in the North West where you and your family can pick your own fruit. I have listed them in order of distance from Oldham as a starting point.

Poynton Fruit Farm (SK12 1SW approx 38 mins away)

Poynton Fruit Farm opens mid June and is free Entry. You just pay for what you pick. There website says their fruit is ready to pick now but check their Facebook page for opening days and stock availability.

Kenyon Hall Farm (WA3 7ED approx 39 mins away)

Kenyon Hall Farm is open 7 days a week all year round. Pick your own fruit is available from late June. The farm is free Entry with free parking, just pay for what you pick.

Claremont Farm (CH63 4JB approx 1 hour away)

Claremont Farm has a farm shop and cafe open all year year. Their pick your own fruit season starts mid June. You can even enjoy a free tractor ride to the picking fields, which my kids would love! Open every day 10am to 6pm.

Leapers Rock Orchard (LA6 1AB approx 1 hour 11 mins away)

Leapers Rock Orchard have updated their website to say their season will starts Sat 22nd June. Again its free to enter, just pay for what you pick. They open everyday apart from Mondays.

Woore Fruit Farm (CW3 9RE approx 1 hour 12 mins away)

Woore Fruit Farm opens at the end of May amd their strawberries and gooseberries are ready to pick now! They are open 7 days a week 9.30am to 5pm. Free entry, just pay for what you pick.

Keep checking back as I will update as I can. Most of their website and Facebook pages say its best to check their stock and availability before you travel. I have added links to each place to make it easy!
