There is absolutely loads going on this summer holiday across all the libraries in Oldham! For information on any of the libraries in Oldham including opening times and addresses see here.
Their weekly Stories & Rhyme and Bounce & Rhyme sessions still run during the school holidays, you can check the times of those here.
First of all, don’t forget that your children can sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge. This years theme is ‘Mischief Makers’ to celebrate the 80th birthday of the Beano comic. Mischief Makers starts on 21 July at all libraries across Oldham, head to your local Oldham library for ‘Sign-Up Saturday’.
The Summer Reading Challenge encourages children aged 4 to 11 to read six books during the summer holidays. Children can read whatever they like – fact books, joke books, picture books, audio books – just as long as they are borrowed from the library. Children will receive special rewards each time they finish a book and there’s a certificate and medal for everyone who completes the Challenge.
Children will explore a map of Beanotown to find the mysterious buried treasure and become ultimate mischief makers. Dennis, Gnasher and friends will help them solve clues and collect stickers, having lots of fun and adventures along the way!
