Mischief Makers library Summer Reading Challenge

Fun, free, friendly activities in all Tameside Libraries for children taking part in Mischief Makers including treasure hunts, crafts and games.  Activities are aimed at children aged 4-11 and their parents and carers, there’s no need to book, just come along on the day.

Wild Art

Make your own charcoal drawing, create a leafy work of art and have a go at woodland weaving.

 

Canal Capers

Fun with The Flintstones

Sounds Natural

Join in with the musical fun making instruments from nature. Take your place in the woodland orchestra led by a crazy conductor!

 

Where the Wild Things Are.

Join Simon the storyteller and set sail on this adventure into the world of the Wild Things! There’ll be art, songs, music, drama and games to help tell the story! Suitable for children aged 0-10 and their parents and carers, these are free, drop in sessions.

The Gruffalo Family Yoga Workshop

The Gruffalo Family Yoga workshop will see us scampering, slithering, flying and stomping through the deep dark wood; using yogic movement, breath and sound to explore the favourite Julia Donaldson tale.

Alice in Wonderland Family Yoga Workshop

Alice in Wonderland Family Yoga involves following the White Rabbit into a myriad of bizarre scenarios as we move through the classic children’s book, using creative movement, somatics, storytelling and song.

Looking After Your Pets with Kylie Jones from PDSA

Cyril The Squirrel

Pirate Pearl and The Big Blue Monster

Pirate Pearl lives aboard the good ship Mirabel with her crusty old shipmate -grandpa Bert! One day, Pearl finds a blue monster stowaway…and this one wants his DINNER! This charming, funny and very playful performance is suitable for everyone. With songs, puppets and live music, this fantastic family show will have you singing along, dancing in the aisles and laughing till your sides split.
