It’s hard to believe we are in June already. This year seems to be flying by.
Out and About Mummy was created in the new year after what I believed at the time to be a bad start to the year. I received news about a project I was part of that was devastating at the time, never would I have believed Out and About Mummy would come so far in so little time.
It’s been a busy 5 months and as a family we’ve had some lovely adventures! In January we had a mini break to Windermere which was amazing! The caravan season started again in March, meaning many weekends are spent near Morecambe. We’ve also seen several shows, visited many parks and hidden lots of painted rocks! Do forget if you find out if our rocks, let us know on Facebook via #outandaboutmummyrocks
Best Bits Of May
Geronimo Festival 2018
We had an absolute blast at Geronimo. All the children loved it and we can’t wait for next year! There were loads of activities to take part in and we had so much fun.
Center Parcs
We took a short break in May to Center Parcs Sherwood Forest. Center Parcs is a favourite holiday place for us. We spent the week swimming, playing in the playground and on the beach. What a fantastic week.
Half Term
This half term has been jam packed and we’ve had lots of fun. Mainly in the park or at the beach. We spent a day at Tatton Park with friends and decided to build a den at home another day. We also spent a lovely afternoon in Delph, Saddleworth and took part in the Delph Donkey Scarecrow Trail. We followed the circular trail, stopping for a drink and a play in the playground. We had such a lovely time, it’s such a great trail.
Shows
We have been really lucky in May and as a family went to see The Jungle Book and The Snail and The Whale. We really enjoyed both shows and don’t forget you can read my reviews!
The Weather
The weather in May has been absolutely amazing! One of the best days we had was spent on the beach at Lytham St Anne’s. We hired a beach hut and literally stayed on the beach all day. Its so nice to not constantly be complaining about the rain! We love being outdoors. We also had a fab day out at Haigh Hall Country Park and the weather was glorious that day too. We enjoyed a picnic in the sun, a train ride and even found a little trail in the gardens.
Roco Clothing
I was lucky enough to be part of a focus group for Roco Clothing in the centre of Manchester. It was a really interesting day and it was fab to do something just me (if that makes sense). Keep a look out for my review, talking photos of toddlers in formal wear has been more difficult than I’d expected! They do say don’t work with animals or children for a reason!
Toy Box Toys
When we went to Center Parcs, we had a couple of boxes delivered for the kids. We had only recently heard of Toy Box Tots, a company that deliver boxes of toys overall the UK and I instantly loved the concept. It was fantastic, saved so much room in the car and the kids loved them.
Cockfields Farm
Out and About Mummy were invited to visit Cockfields Farm in May. It was a great day out, my twins loved the baby animals! High points of the day definitely would be cleaning the tortoise and feeding the baby goats their bottles.
I hope you have been enjoying reading Out and About Mummy and the adventures we have! You can follow our adventures via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
I agree with you the year passed by pretty fast, it feels like I started uni yesterday and now it’s summer. Your kids are absolutely beautiful bless their souls and its nice to see that you have some alone time too.
