My Family’s Favourite Bedtime Stories.

My family love to read and my little ones especially love a bedtime story, or two!

I would like to share with you my family’s favourites and let’s celebrate these fabulous books and authors together.

Funnybones by Allan Ahlberg and Andre Amstutz.

One World Book Day, my son dressed up as The Big Skeleton for school. I introduced him to the Funnybones series and he absolutely loves these stories. I read them as a child and we can now enjoy them together.

The Tiger Who Came To Tea by Judith Kerr.

It was actually my son who introduced me to this wonderful book. He read it in reception at school and saw it one day in a book shop. He told me we must read it and he was right. It’s a lovely and funny story.

Cave Baby by Julia Donaldson and Emily Grant.

This is definitely one of my favourite Julia Donaldson books. We loved the rhyming in this book, the story is all about expressing yourself. It’s a funny and mischievous tale, we love it.

Aliens Love Underpants by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort.

One of my son’s favourites, he has the collection. Lovely, funny rhyming stories that has my son in stitches.

The Flying Bath by Julia Donaldson & David Roberts.

Another one of Julia Donaldson’s greats, we love this book for its outrageous adventure and fabulous pictures. We three also love bath-time so this book is always a hit.

Thomas and Friends- The Complete Collection by Rev. W. Awdry.

An all time favourite and classic, definitely one my son goes back to again and again. He’s a massive Thomas fan, a lover of trains and we love to share these books together. He got this collection one Christmas, it’s a lovely book and makes a great gift for any Thomas fan.

Usborne Noisy Books.

We love the noisy books from Usborne, especially Noisy Trains and my favourite, Noisy Orchestra. They are books that can be enjoyed from a very young age, as they are filled with colourful pictures and of course noisy buttons to press. Also, my son now enjoys to hear them at bedtime and to read them himself. Great stories.
