Toddler Fun at The Garden House Farm

A few weeks ago, me and my two year old twins enjoyed a day out at The Garden House farm in Marple, we had a fab time! Well today we came back and brought some of our friends along with us, it’s such a great day out, especially for a bunch of toddlers!

There’s free parking and free entry to the farm. The Garden House farm do rely heavily on donations and there are donation boxes spread out across the farm. We headed down the hill from the car park to the farm and my two got excited, remembering the last time we came!

There’s lots to see and do. We first saw some of the animals including some of the biggest pigs I’ve ever seen! We also stopped to see the piglets and the kids loved the baby goats. My two loved stroking the baby goats, they understood to be very gentle. We had a wander around the field to see the sheep, lambs and alpaca’s.

There’s loads for little ones to play with when they want a break from seeing the animals. There is plenty of slides and swings, see-saws, sand pits, a zip wire for the older kids, several climbing frames and even a ride-on car area. All the toddlers loved it and played happily for ages! Us mum’s enjoyed a brew from the cafe in peace and before we knew it, it was dinner time.

We packed a picnic, there’s plenty of benches and picnic tables around the farm, some under cover and some not depending on the weather. There is also toilets and baby changing facilities.

After lunch the kids went to see the ducks and the rabbits before another play with the toys and on the climbing equipment.

If your looking for an inexpensive day out, The Garden House farm is fab. In my opinion it’s fab for toddlers who love animals, sand and lots of toys. There is also plenty for the older ones with the zip wire and a large wooden climbing frame. There is also a riverside walk which we will have to try out next time.

They loved throwing a coin in the wishing well as we left, I wondered if they wished to come back soon to play again……….
