Well it’s the summer school holidays! I can’t believe it’s August already!? As soon as the kids go back to school in September we’ll be on countdown to Christmas! I feel like this year is flying by.
Joshua will be in Year 2 when he goes back!
July has been lots of fun, the weather has been fantastic! We’ve enjoyed lots of trips to the caravan and days on the beach.
Best Bits Of July-
Joshua turned six in July and we celebrated it at our caravan in Bolton Le Sands close to Morecombe. Check out my post all about our weekend there, we had so much fun! There was pirate treasure hunts, bowling and even a Viking Festival! Joshua had a wonderful birthday, he’s very lucky that some many friends and family made it special for him.
Ooooh my monkeys were very excited about seeing Milkshake Live at The Lowry! Isla especially was dancing in her seat! You can review my review and even book tickets now to see the show for yourself, Milkshake Live is touring the UK.
Last week me and my husband headed to the Palace Manchester to see Fame on press night. The atmosphere was amazing and the show was fantastic! There was standing ovations in the middle of the show, performances that took your breath away and dances that ‘wow’d you! Have a read of my review today!
We’ve been buzzing all over Manchester the last few days, looking for big Bees and little Bees! Together with local communities, schools and colleges, Manchester City Council and Wild In Art have brought over 100 Bees into the city for ‘one of the most spectacular public art events the city has ever seen.’ We had a fab time last weekend, read about it now and get involved!
Days Out
We have had some fantastic days out this July. We finished the Tatton Park RHS Flower Show and had such a lovely day. It was the first time we have ever taken children and they loved it. There was plenty for them to see and do. On one of the first days of the summer holidays, I took the kids to the National Trust property and garden Sizergh Castle in Cumbria. It has beautiful grounds and gardens. There kids loved stroking the cat that lives there, Joshua was lucky enough to get the chance to see if the chickens had laid any eggs and they all loved looking at the flowers! Check out my social media pages for plenty of photos of our days out! Remember to Like and Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Thanks for reading! I’m looking forward to August, we’ve got plenty planned for this summer holidays!
It sounds like you’ve had a fab time with lots of outings. Joshua sounds like he had a brilliant birthday too
