Hello March!

What a strange month Feburary was! Not only did we have snow at the begining of the month but we also had the hotest Feburary on record by the end!

It’s been a busy month for us and I’m sure March will be just as busy. My twins turn 3 this month which is still hard to believe! They will also be starting nursery soon.

March is also the start of the caravan season. As you may know, our family have a caravan close to Morecombe Bay and we like to spend as much of our time there as possible. We’re actually off today (1st March) to open the caravan up for the season.

Top Parts Of Feb:

Wild Cakes Soft Toys

My children were kindly gifted a couple of these new and exciting toys Wild Cakes from Wild Design Ltd and we couldn’t wait to tell you all about them!

Isla chose the ‘cake’ that looked like a Strawberry bun and Oscar a Lemon Meringue Pie! Check out our review here.

Annie

Annie has always been a favourite of mine, although I’ve never seen it on stage just the film. It’s a film I loved as a child and now Joshua loves the film too (the original). He knows all the songs and we love to watch it together.

Me and Joshua were invited to press night at the Opera House and we were so excited! Read our full review here.

RNCM Young Explorers Mother Goose

The RNCM Young Explorers is a series of concerts throughout the year designed to introduce young people to the magical world of music. The Mother Goose concert took us on a journey into the world of fairy tales!

Billionaire Boy

We love a trip to The Lowry and we were so excited to be invited to the press night showing of Billionaire Boy The Musical. Joshua had been so excited leading up to it. I didn’t really know the story, but I do love a musical!

Billionaire Boy is a story all about Joe Spud, who is a boy and a billionaire! He has everything (and I mean everything) that he could ever want! That is, apart from a friend. Can money buy you happiness? Check out our review now.

Weekend Box

We like to be Out and About, whatever the weather! The kids never get bored when were outdoors as there’s so much to see and do. But what about the days when you have to stay at home?

Have you heard of the Weekend Box Club? It’s easy to find things to do at the weekend when your a member of the Weekend Box Club; a box full of everything you’ll need for a fun weekend gets delivered right to your door!

Half Term Fun

We spent most of the Feb half term outdoors. We went hunting for painted rocks at a local park, feeding ducks and meeting up with friends.

I love half term when the weather is good!

We managed a trip to Nation Trust Property and Gardens Speke Hall, our favourite small local park Foxdenton and Cockfields Farm.

ZURU Toys

The kids were recently sent a box of goodies from ZURU Toys to check out and review. It was perfect timing as they arrived on our doorstep just in time for the half-term school holidays! Up to now we’ve checked out the brand new 5 SURPRISE and Rainbocorn.

Hogfields School of Wizadry

You will probably know by now that me and my family do love a trip to the farm, especially Cockfields Farm. We are so lucky that it’s just down the road. We last visited over Christmas for their spectacular Christmas experience event (you can read all about it here).

We were back during the February half term to check out their Hogfields School of Wizardry event, myself and Joshua are big Harry Potter fans so we couldn’t wait to go! Check out our review now!

Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom Live On Stage

Me, my toddler twins and my sister travelled to St Helen’s Theatre Royal to see Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom Live on stage. We knew the show is from the makers of Peppa Pig which we loved when we saw it last year, so we had massive hopes for this show!

Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom Live on Stage! There will be dancing, singing and there’s always a possibility of a jelly flood when magic is involved! My full review can be read now.

Drum Lesson with Buckt Box

Buckt is the UK’s only tickets and activities subscription box. Every month, Greater Manchester subscribers get 5 mystery things to do in the region delivered straight to their door in one of the Buckt Boxes.

In January we tried out axe throwing and even tried our very first meditation class. In Feb, Joshua had a drum lesson thanks to Buckt Box. I can’t wait to see what we will do in the future.

I hope you had a good February and here’s too a good March x

  1. It didn’t occur to me we’d had such an extreme change in weather all in one month. How strange. Annie looks fantastic – I loved the film as a kid. X (Anita Faulkner)

  2. Looks like you had a seriously busy February – lots of exciting things happened! Very jealous of your trip to see Annie. The weather has been crazy, lovely to see daffodils but it is still so early – not impressed the weather has turned for the worst! 😦 Sim x
