Hello October!

It’s October, it’s officially Autumn, it’s also the month of Halloween, half term and my birthday!

We’ve had a lovely September. Joshua was glad to get back to school and it was nice to get back to routine. We’ve enjoyed some of the lovely September weather, we even had a day out at the beach.

This month I’ve also started a new blog series called Busy Mum Life. You can read my introduction here, it’s all about #selfcare and feeling a little healthier. Keep a look out for more details on this soon.

I’ve also joining in with @andbreathe_survivingparenting and their #getoutdoorsinoctober challenge. Check us out on Instagram and why not join in.

Our September Loves-

Theatre Trips-

This September I saw The Comedy About A Bank Robbery at The Lowry which was hilarious. Me and Joshua had a lovely mummy/son evening and went to the Palace to see Matilda The Musical, and me and my Mother in-law headed to the Opera House to see the smash hit and brilliant, Rock Of Ages!

Blackpool Illuminations-

The kids love a trip to Blackpool to see the Illuminations. I love a trip to see Blackpool Illuminations too!! We parked up in Bispham, got fish and chips and walked along the front. We’re hoping for another visit before they’re switched off. Here’s all the information including the times the lights are switched on!

Museum Trip-

To keep the kids entertained one rainy Sunday afternoon, we headed to The Museum of Science and Industry. It was in between Bee hunting, the kids love visiting. Check out what we got up to.

Forest School-

We discovered forest school this month. Two Hoots Forest School in Brownhill Nature Garden, Uppermill is an outdoor session for under 5’s. We’ve been a couple of times this month and we can’t wait to go again. You can read all about our first session here.

What’s your favourite thing about Autumn? I love crisp autumn walks, hot chocolates and comfy jumpers.

  1. I would love to find a Forest school for my boys, they’re so much fun! Love a good trip to the museum too.

  2. We’ve managed lots of museums this year, but hardly any show … time to treat my lot to a night at the theatre I think …
