Hello December!

It’s December! Is your tree up yet? We have a busy month ahead, on top of the normal December mayhem we’re moving house! So we’ve decided not to put the tree up yet until we move.

This month we have so much to look forward to! This weekend we will be visinting the Elf’s and joinging in with their challenge, next week I’m heading to Liverpool for Winter Wonderland and of course we can’t wait for the Cockfields Christmas Experience– definetly the highlight of our December!

Check out the website for information on Christmas events including Christmas Light Switch-on events in Greater Manchester and Oldham villages.

The Best Bits of November:

Cinderella at Oldham Coliseum

For the past few years, a trip to Oldham Coliseum to see their famous annual pantomime is definitely the start of the festive season for me and my family! The show’s never disappoint and this years panto, Cinderella was just as good, if not better than any we’ve seen before! We had such a lovely evening.

Kinky Boots at the Opera House

Kinky Boots came to Manchester last month and I was lucky enough to get a press night invitation! The red carpet was out, the outfits (including some of the audience) were fabulous and there was so much sparkle! What a show!

Walking with The Snowman Trail

Take a wintry walk around MediaCityUk this Christmas time to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Raymond Briggs’ heart-warming picture book, The Snowman.
A collection of 12 giant Snowman sculpturea are waiting to be discovered, each are inspired by the song The Twelve Days of Christmas. We went the other weekend and had a lovely day out!

Manchester Christmas Markets

It’s not Christmas without a trip to the Manchester Christmas Markets. My husband has met me after work a couple of times already with the kids. It’s so busy at weekends and Friday evenings, but we still love to go with the kids, we’ve even managed it with our double pram! (Just not round Albert Square!).

Tea, Cakes and Tiaras with friends

I love afternoon tea, well who doesn’t love tea and cake! It feels like a treat but it can be expensive and it can be very unchild friendly! But definitely not at Tea, Cakes and Tiaras in Ashton-under-Lyne. I remember them opening, my twins were only a few months old. Emma, the owner is extremely friendly and fantastic with children! Over the past two years me and my family have been several times and we always have a lovely experience. It’s very child friendly which means us parents can relax a little more and not worry about the kids making too much noise or mess.

Holidays Are Coming

The Christmas Coca-Cola Truck was  Manchester last week and we were lucky enough to stop by for some photos.

This month, Joshua has also been extremely busy, hes been baking! He made a fantastic star  biscuit tree! Also, we checked out the Beaker Creatures Liquid Reactor Super Lab which was so much fun.
